Daar word bespiegel oor die vraag of die verspreiding van die Ml-virus en die gepaardgaande styging in VIGS of verwante siektes uiteindelik ’n epidemie of pandemie gaan wees. Beplanners moet egter nie die spreekwoordelike volstruisbenadering volg nie en moet nou reeds kyk na moontlike gevolge vir grondgebruikbeplanning vir die toekoms.
