Abstract

Chapter II of the Land Use Planning Ordinance deals with zoning schemes. Allies in the Cape Province are now under development control, and all local governments will fall into one of two categories: those who had town planning schemes at the entry into force of the new Ordinance, and the above.Village planning schemes are subject to zoning schemes and the "old" rights until 1 July 2001. For the other administrative purposes, land is deemed to be zoned in accordance with its application. V review is made for deviations and four types of rezoning: by the owner (Article 16); by the Board of Directors (Article 18); replacement schemes (Article 14 [4]); and for subdivision (Article 22). Furthermore, the implications and problems surrounding the interpretation of the above aspects are discussed.
