The developmental role of local government: Bloemfontein local authority - a case study

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to draw attention to the concept of develop- mental local government as well as the Bloemfontein Transitional Local Authority's efforts to implement developmental local government through infrastructure development and capital projects to improve the lot of the disadvantaged communities.
